A day after our hike we came Baltrum spontaneously to the idea of using the nice weather and make a day trip to Wangerooge. We were kind of got the taste.
The ferry that day were perfect, the vessel should take early morning and late afternoon return.
The ferry leaves from Harlesiel and round - trip ticket costs per person around 20 €. Unfortunately, we know the price is not quite accurate. In any case it's cheaper if you use the same day the ferry.
Wangerooge arrived on the island, we use web to reach the center. So you already experienced half a trip around the island and get to know a little of the great nature.
On the road to "pedestrian" we found a small park in a garage sale, has just opened - that we used to buy some books and just a little to check the offer. Unfortunately, the bags are not so great. Next time, then it overnight :-)
After we looked around a little in the center, we decided to explore the island on foot and walked towards the West Tower. This brought back memories because there are in this and some buildings around it school trips, which were used during school hours as a class destinations. It all looked just like back then is still. ... If that's good or bad, we take time out to be seen :-)
Slowly we approached the "beach" side of the island. As in all East Frisian Islands, the beautiful sandy beaches are beautiful to look at and it comes to real Caribbean feeling (ok, the water could be "something" to be turquoise).
We used the not quite well-advanced day and stored for a while in the warm sand, making the eyes to listen to the sea ... and woke two hours later again - an early ferry may have its drawbacks. Fortunately, we were pretty well creamed, so that you have taken no real sunburn of it.
We were now pretty broken and strolled only a little by including Sundays open supermarkets and then made our already on the way to the station where we are on the island railway Investors were waiting for.
A great, relaxed day was over and we were glad we were so spontaneous :-)
