At the end of our little tour in Germany in early June 2010 we spent a week in Warnemünde, about 15 minutes by car from Rostock.
We had booked a 2 bedroom apartment that is rented out by private and is located in an apartment building. The house is not near the city center but in a very quiet residential area, from which one has reached in about 10 minutes walk on the beach, in the city center or at a supermarket. From the outside, not to be considered especially beautiful from the inside then it set up great.
(There was of course actually a bedroom, but we would rather have slept in the big room.)
The cost for the week-long stay were at 270 € for the apartment, when a parking lot wanted to rent for his car to cost this 5 € for the night. We took this up - you should, if possible, because not only public car parks very crowded park, but also attract fees or only for residents. However, the backyard for parking was very tight, which could have been better. So we want to go away with no car.
It
bright sunshine and we decided, was to first give us an overview of the place. We strolled along the beach promenade and won ever seen a glimpse of the truly great, almost white sand beach.
Our little walk then ended initially in the pedestrian zone, where we sought out a restaurant for lunch. There were chips in some variations ... good choice. Large portions, good price - we were about and satisfied.
The next day we were unlucky with the weather and spent more these Rostock in the inner city, which we already knew - and because of the shopping also like! Well you can eat the way the plan B in the street or in the evening Doberaner the Spaniard (Bodega) on Doberaner place. There (at Doberaner Place and nearby), there are several cute little shops.
Since then, unfortunately, on rainy Sundays, anything can be, we had - by the way - find a plan B! Necessity is the mother of invention and we thank Warnemünde that Sundays have opened there a few shops. Absence of major selection, we came to a toy store. This left us with several small games (for example, as Café International Card game - Highly recommended) and a Germany puzzle. It will remain a hobby so faithful in detail, so just go away by then puzzle.
1000 parts - no problem, we were very quickly done, since the rain did not subside.

As the weather finally had pity on us and the unclouded sun in the sky, as if nothing had happened, we met with one of our walks to the offer to take a harbor cruise.
This we could not escape us and we had the pleasure, Warnemünde port facilities and various times to see from another perspective.

the rest of the days we spent mostly on the beach and with short walks through the streets of Warnemünde, which are really very pretty. On the beach, we also twice rented a beach chair, which cost 7 euros per day, but it has really paid off. While on the water, people still walk with long pants and T-shirts left, we were already in a bikini in a beach chair and it was almost too hot ;-)
general, we have not made these days very much, but rather used the time to relax and unwind - this must indeed be times. Therefore, there is something in the next report then more action!

prints are sure that in bad weather can not make very much and that the place is otherwise rather designed for family beach vacation.
