News: Travel Report Langeoog (January 2011) On 1/29/2011 was once again a weekend getaway. At 9:30 clock direction from the ferry Langeoog, at 9:00 clock we arrived in Bensersiel and parked our car in the large car park. € 4 per day are calculated there.
Since this weekend, the witness holidays began (there was the fact always? We are just so old that we do not remember us?), Was at the feeder the bear and we got even slight agitation at the long queue at the ticket counter .
The return fare is the way for day trips (ie, same-day round trip) 20,50 €, from 24 € per person a night.
We reached the ferry just in time, because behind us is still very much other people had to be classified, we suspect that some of it but could only take the next ferry. A single switch was open this morning a little tight.

we had the night the
Suites Hotel Mare . This was - in comparison to other trips - not a bargain, but a normal price, but we gladly paid for this accommodation.
costs € 106 a night in a Junior Suite (in this Hotel was the cheapest room type).
Our room was on the third Floor, directly under the roof and impressed us at the first occurrence with the size and the really great features.
We packed our own, this time, exceptionally modest fancy bag, (the shopping we assess as not quite as big) and went on a fact-finding tour.
How should it be otherwise - that ended in the first course small pedestrian zone ... The businesses were open only out of turn, as was expected with a small tourist rush because of the testimony holidays. And so it was ultimately. Probably not even 1 / 10 of what is going on in the summer, but already significant number of people pushed their way through the streets even if one of the pictures are not quite as perceived :-)
Since the Supermarkets were open only until 13:00 clock, we went shopping quickly. Actually we wanted to eat, but we do not have some right to what we had an appetite and decided to use the cooking facilities in our room.
Back the hotel, we swung us by the hearth, and "cooked" our hot dogs: This culinary specialty of us had ever occurred in the supermarket.
For dessert, there should be bee sting, which we had purchased from the island baker. Full of anticipation, we pushed ourselves to fork to mouth. Unfortunately, soon came the disillusionment - bee sting with cinnamon? Cinnamon on a bee sting, we knew so we have not yet .... not even know. Cinnamon on apple pie is quite normal, so we also buy an apple pie in the bakery, but to bee sting? Well, then we ate bee sting without hood. So actually only filling with soil. Too bad.
We then made for us to get closer the rest of the island a bit to get to know. We were lucky with the weather. As we were walking going on, it was still a little cloudy, but when we got to the beach because all the clouds cleared away and it was bright blue sky (as opposed to the mainland, as we heard).
Langeoog has is a 14 km long sandy beach, in winter to look great and to hike.
We went very close to the water ran and found frozen sea spray, many shells, some cancers and got our feet wet legs :-) You should reconsider his choice of shoes when going to the beach :-)
Back at the hotel, we threw ourselves quickly in the bathrobe and went into the Spa area, who was on our floor. Jacuzzi, sauna, color light sauna, infrared cabin and solarium us were available. In addition, some fitness equipment that we used not.
The Wellness Center is designed really great ... all very modern, great lighting, and the outdoor pool was 37 degrees close to the border feel-good bath!
spent the rest of the evening in our beautiful room and waited for things as approached in the election of the new jungle king for us :-)
The next morning there was a small but excellent breakfast buffet (mainly bacon and sausages, then a good evaluation is already sure :-)) and unfortunately we had to quickly go to the station already, because the ferry was put at 10.30 clock.
We were just in time to the station, paid the tax and this time gave the bag as luggage on (2 €), because we wanted to wander a bit in the remaining time. Weather was in fact on Sunday a dream!
We will come in the not too distant again and discover the rest! The island has captured us!
greeted us on the mainland, the weather the way it was probably the whole weekend: foggy and cloudy. Good that we have escaped the at least 24 hours!
