Using Nail Grinder On Black Nails

Currently: Travelogue Amsterdam (December 2010)

Amsterdam is beautiful. Amsterdam is actually very nice. At temperatures of -7 ° C is Amsterdam ... still beautiful, but also quite cold. Even before we were thinking how we should best come to Amsterdam. The city was removed from our vacation home about 45 km.

By car, by train ... if by car, how are we to park there ... many of us, advised to travel by car to downtown, parking garages to expensive soon will be towed away or has a claw ... Long story short: We decided for a Park & Ride car park near Amsterdam. We parked our car in the Parplatz and got a parking ticket. With this we went to a house and broke it in one of the employees towards tickets for public Verkehrssmittel. We were called a price of 6 €. So that we could park 24 hours and also take the trams and buses, as much and as often as you wanted. To this day, this award is not very clear ... we thought it would be 6 € per person - apparently is not so. When we returned, we had to get only one Fee paid. But let's not complain - we will only very cheaply in a town where everything else is quite expensive :-)

The next train was thankfully been a minute after we had placed on the platform. We can not even enumerate what we are all dressed in clothes thrown over and had slung - it was nevertheless still incredibly cold. While it was sunny, but a chill wind swept us around the ears - brrr. The train took about 10 minutes to Centraal Station and we ended up in the middle of downtown Amsterdam.

After a short orientation we bought our first once in the VVV (tourist information) a map for 2,50 €, because we were not quite sure what we wanted to look at us. We saw an offer for Madame Tussauds - the entry should cost only 16 € instead of 20 €. We found that the wax museum was nearby and ran to first, but then decided against it when we saw the snakes that were before it.

also within reachable distance another "attraction" that we wanted to look at us: the red light district. On the short walk to and through the red light district we found two things fixed: 1 almost naked ladies behind the windows must have a great heater! 2. we need more gloves! So - exploring stopped at H & M to - had to create new gloves. Somehow it was a self in the shops not very warm before, so we decided to make our visit to Amsterdam different from what we were doing it, and as little as possible to walk through the area. Nevertheless, we wanted to see something of the city. The solution: a canal boat! For 8 € we were an hour geschippert through the beautiful canals of Amsterdam and sat there warm and dry :-) The statements that you get to see just done in different languages. For us it was in Dutch, German, English and French says. Probably there are, as necessary, also other languages. We drove through small channels, under bridges, in which it is hard to imagine that the boat can actually fit through, the port where the water was also very much the same rough due to strong wind ... it was a total absolute worth seeing. From here we can now simply speak again Photos:

After the canal tour, we were again faced with the problem of the cold. Many will probably ask ourselves here in a real wimp mentality. This can we say - yes, that's it :-) But it was really cold. So we decided to look into the shopping street and a little more detail to stroll through the shops. We determined that in Amsterdam apparently going well for H & M. We saw wind chill 30 stores. Even McDonald's and Vero Moda there in abundance.

Speaking Vero Moda - here then we bought the obligatory holiday sweater ... must be brought at least one of each vacation :-) However, we left it there ... then we would not want to harp on it ... but it was too cold to take things to try. Somehow probably due to the heating of the temperatures went on strike! Next plan - eating out! We searched and found a pizzeria that was not quite as exorbitant prices (10 € for a pizza Magarita is the normal level from which one must assume) and got there our pepperoni pizza for 8,90 €. This way, we split up - there is not only maxi-prices, but also Maxi-Pizza! After the meal we wanted to make but then slowly on the way back and walked slowly back to the Centraal Station. We then explored but still a bit of Amsterdam on foot, and always found new details that we found really nice.

Our Rating:
A great city, we will definitely be back! However, we will test then maybe, as is Amsterdam feels like summer! Then we will visit more, one day is not enough!
