Finally we can relist an update - at last, because that means: we had holidays!
Once again, we've found were on the lookout for a bargain. The Center Parc De Eemhof lured us with the following offer:
5 days (Mon-Fri) night in a premium suite with breakfast for 150 €. For two! Great offer! As was jumped at the chance - booking sent!
On Monday night we rolled in some adverse traffic conditions - even in Holland, winter slammed full - in a Center Parc. Check-in is as easy as it is very rare. Some time before that it is possible to be e-ticket print out already at home, simply insert this and be produced at a counter at the entrance. Once you get his key and is given within a minute through the barrier and in the full holiday fun!
Unlike in the Center Parc-vacations before, where we always had a holiday home, it should be this time a flat. The absolute advantage is that these are in the immediate vicinity of the Market Square. In the winter, not to despise :-)
The Market Square is the center of Center Parcs. Here are all the restaurants, a supermarket, shopping and entertainment venues, and of course the most important: the swimming pool Aqua Mundo!
But first to our accommodation ... we came in and were pleasantly surprised of finding a modern and relatively newly renovated apartment. The sleeping area a little separated from the living room, a brightly tiled bathroom, a nice view ... it could start the holiday!
After we had set ourselves, we explored briefly the Market Square, but had to find that most of the facilities already closed or only open for short. So - from the warm apartment and soon after to bed, we were quite damaged by the journey.
Next Morning - breakfast! As mentioned above, in the already low price even the breakfast was included. And what one! Rolls, different breads, croissants, bacon, sausage, salads, scrambled eggs, a station at which one could be a fried egg wash up yourself, 10 different juices, cereals, cheese, sausage ... we can not list everything, it was really huge. Some of us could withstand the typical Dutch coverings not :-)
The breakfast - we have not included, Incidentally costs 11,50 € per person.
The day is spent only once in the nearby towns and Nijkerk Amersfoort, a little stroll in the inner cities and especially to visit the supermarket par: Albert Heijn. We find that offer the Dutch have the better drinks and candy ... and we can stock up at least not enough with these things :-)
The two places have a nice downtown, but so real shopping pleasure was not as It was too cold to relaxed stroll through the streets. But everything was decorated very nice Christmas:

Back at Center Parcs we wanted to finally visit the swimming pool. As the entire park was also the Aqua Mundo are quite empty and not a piece about running (like maybe the not so typical travel time for a Center Parc-trip :-)).
We first tested the whitewater course ... we went indoors in 30 degree warm water and swam out there ... so .... that was really borderline. As long as it was under water, it was actually really nice, but too often, the train winds its way that is hardly covered by the water and a icy breeze on the skin feel, while IF THE ABOVE hinrutscht on. Still - a great fun :-)
some point but then we use only the inner slide too much fun ... must not be so ;-) There were two tube slides, you rushed down, depending on Rutschart, in a breakneck speed and a short and steep slide - because you really got speed. Otherwise, there is a wave (to be honest we could not use it more because the water temperature of "only" 26 degrees, we were frozen by law) and a spa that would be 35 degrees but was just right, but unfortunately overcrowded was . As the only place in the entire park by the way :-)
is a sauna, there are also, of the costs extra entry and we're not using.
The next day was a day trip to Amsterdam, but we want to write about it in a separate report .
only ever so much away: the rest of the evening we spent in the outdoor pool of the Aqua Mundo, who was fortunately this time much more warmed up empty, and for us! Thus, we can announce: even the hot tub super!
On Thursday we use to go there again to Albert Heijn and storage for the home to accumulate. Hoarding are really good :-)
We walked a little through the Center Parc to still enjoy a little fresh air and a couple of photos to shoot:
Otherwise we stayed most of the day in the apartment and enjoyed the warmth! Not even for swimming, we were able to pull ourselves together, it was snowing, uncomfortable and the shower water but then a few degrees warmer :-) Only a couple of Christmas gifts we have bought in the shops in the park for - what exactly, but we can not tell - otherwise is the surprise for Christmas then ...
rolled after a final breakfast on Friday morning, we then have again about to home. A great, relaxing vacation came to an end and we are determined at a time, with warmer temperatures once again be back!
