Moving A Viking Longship Diagram

News: Zoo Rotterdam (January 2011)

Like last year already in Leipzig (unfortunately no photos), we also spent New Year's now in a zoo. The Diergaarde Blijdorp should according to the internet to be one of the best zoos in general, and so we went Saturday morning on the way to check that.

The entrance fee is 19,50 € per person - come to it 7 € parking fee for a large car park right outside the zoo grounds - not cheap, but worth it!

After we had provided an overview, we started our tour at the seals ...
A great big pen, obtained with very deep water, the first impression was good :-) The seals were raging through the water and obviously felt good.

We went into a giant underwater world (Oceania) - really impressive. We were led through a tunnel system with different aquariums. But see for yourself:

to the underwater world includes a laboratory where visitors can get on with security very interesting processes clever. We left it at that, to take photos. Dutch is not our strengths.

Finding Nemo :-)

And Dori!

And the little peep-border debil fish!

Oceania escaped made us set off on the way to further explore the enclosure, which were on our way.
Almost all animals preferred to while away the time in their indoor enclosures ... and although that day has almost the first spring weather had thought at 8 degrees and sunshine!

past ..... to the polar bear

.... we arrived in India!
The little elephant was the way in Born July and fought with abandon for a plastic part that exercised by the other elephants to a fascination :-)

cuddle with the big brother! created

Toll the giraffe house .... is not only a great outdoor area, also architecturally beautiful. Though we are not quite sure if the giraffes appreciate this :-)

also very cute - the tigers have babies get and we could sit and watch forever, as the two played together.

rest after the fight

All in all, we were just four hours at the zoo and were genuinely impressed!
Perhaps once again the only criticism of the lion enclosure. Apparently they are always restored last. But it was all right but still significantly better than for example in Berlin!
