Instead, Nikitas writes quite casually by legends, myths, fairy tales, dreams and fever in the madhouse of human souls. And although suspicion can be sown quite early and harvested quickly, the plot cranks with many clever Swing to the apocalyptic showdown trick-tempo and full of the tension screw. That the film rights have already been allocated is not surprising, provides "stake" but darkest head cinema, elegant, with bad pictures a flow creates, which steers the characters as well as the readers raw, while almost lovingly into the darkness. Nikitas takes very calculated, but skillfully, all registers missed and his readers a proper Dröhnung of reality and magic. A good mix, one knocks down, as one now can even cut down in the cozy Lesefauteuil.
